Lawanda is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and a 2002 graduate of Southern University and Agricultural & Mechanical College. She earned a BS in Computer Science however she always had a love for real estate.
At the tender age of 25 Lawanda purchased her very first home. The smoothness of her mortgage loan transaction is what sparked her interest in mortgage origination. Needless to say she began her quest as a Mortgage Loan Originator.
One Year later she began her quest to obtaining her Mortgage Loan Originator’s license.
Unfortunately, in less than two years of purchasing, she suffered a near total loss of her home when a tornado swept through the subdivision causing significant destruction to many homes in the area. With the mindset that it was time to rebuild, with a couple of hammers and her best friend along her side, Lawanda gutted her home, and the renovation project began. She designed and implemented every aspect of her home including overseeing sub-contractors. This sparked her interest in forming her own company and she later began home renovation and rehabbing of distressed homes in the Baton Rouge area. A servant to helping others maintain their property value and tasked with the assistance of rebuilding Baton Rouge, Lawanda assisted many families, friends and homeowners reconstruct their homes after The Great Flood of 2016 swept through the city and left many homeowners displaced.
Currently, Lawanda serves as the CEO of Turn Key Mortgage of Louisiana, a mortgage concierge brokerage firm specializing in residential financing, CEO of D’Vine Renovations and Investors, a home renovation and investment firm of distressed properties and she’s also a licensed Realtor with Goodwood Realty. She’s currently enrolled in the Louisiana General Contractor’s class to begin her next assignment of obtaining licensing as a General Contractor, Homebuilder and begin new development projects.
